September 11th, DAY 11

Breakfast
- x1 oolong tea
- x1 banana

Lunch:
- Leftover veggies from yesterday (broccoli and bok choy)
- Leftover smoothie from yesterday

Dinner was below:
I got home at like 8:30 pm... crazy work day trying to stick tubes down people without success. Opened the fridge to find nothing sooooooo I ended up making more quinoa cooked down with a bajillion mystery spices (scarcely any good solid spices at home). To compensate I made more of that mustard sauce to mix for better taste. I also had a bunch of roasted almonds as per Coach M's suggestion... DELICIOUS!

September 10th, DAY 10

Straight forward work day! I still haven't even attempted that monster of a pear...

Breakfast:
- x1 black coffee
- x1 big banana

Lunch:
- x1 large serving of yesterday's tomato-broccoli-chicken thing
- x1 big banana

Dinner:
- A huge huge huge serving of boiled broccoli and bak choy smothered in olive oil, lemon juice and black pepper
- x 1 large smoothie made of: 2 grapefruits, 1 banana, 1 orange, frozen blueberries... all hand blender-ed

Here were the ingredients... the smoothie and veggies I sorta partitioned so I'm eating half tonight and the other half tomorrow for lunch.

Old glass jars from tomato sauce and stuff are great for the go! I store my smoothies/meals in there for on the go pre-packaged stuff!

It's 01:17 am right now and I'm still hungry... must resist the urge to eat. Gotta be up in less than 5 hours.

September 9th, DAY 9

Today I ate a total of 4 bananas throughout the day...

Breakfast/Lunch below:
- x 1 salad with cherry tomatoes and cucumbers
- x 2 pieces of steak (marinated with some brandy)

Dinner:
- Some weird stew thing made of sauteed onions, broccoli and tomatoes with canned chicken (tried to rinse out the juice it was sitting in to wash out the salt)+ bajillion seasoning herbs

(The below picture can be multiplied x 3... that was just a tester batch)

- Of course following my dinner, I was still a bit hungry so I ate a couple of extra lean turkey slices (I know it's not allowed.... ) hence the candid photo.

I usually have an ice cream every night pre-paleo... this is now hard. I cheat every now and then with a tiny square of dark chocolate.

Tomorrow's going to be another work day which means temptation foods everywhere. Night shifts are the worst... popcorn, cakes, pizza, donuts, chips... :(

September 8th, DAY 8

Breakfast/lunch:
- x1 delicious egg scramble with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and all kinds of spices
- x2 cups of carrot juice

Dinner:
- x1 huge banana
- x1 huge plum
- x2 poached fresh organic eggs from Saturna Island (kinda overdone)

- A huge bowl of quinoa... that's right Paleo! You heard me.... QUINOA! I need sustenance in my diet. The sauce was made of dijon mustard, olive oil, a dab of mayo and tons of pepper, rosemary and some sprigs of parsley.

- Here it is again all mixed up but with steamed zucchini! Nice to have a filling meal for once, lol

September 7th, DAY 7

Alright, for lunch (which was super late), I ate:
- x 2 strawberry fruit smoothies
- x 1 green salad with avocados
- x 1 bison burger patty on the grill

For dinner, my family and I went out to eat... I only took pictures of what I COULD eat... *sniff sniff*

Started off with some gomae salad (spinach appetizer with peanut-sesame seasoning

Next up was sashimi!! salmon, hamachi, ika (squid) + some salmon roe and assorted garnishes of seaweed and daikon.

The family ordered ramen... I just took their egg and oops, 1 strand of udon fell in my bowl to be (non) accidentally eaten, lol.

I ended up ordering more hamachi because it was sooooo good! You could taste the oil from the fish. I also ordered some mirugai (geoduck)... it was SO SWEET. Great treat!

BBQ'd halibut operculum? (it's that area of fish in front of the gills... so meaty and delicious!

Of course, I was still ravenous and ate the garnishes off everything... YAY for seaweed and daikon and lemon!

Lastly, I stopped over at Yaohan to buy some groceries... I couldn't help but squeal when I saw these asian pear babies on sale!

They're bigger than my boobs!! I can't wait to eat one!

Now that would make one interesting WOD... for time!

September 6th, DAY 6

Okay, I know today was going to be another special day... this dinner was supposed to happen in August but due to a few scheduling conflicts it had to be in September (aka, clash with paleo again). Not wanting to look like a bad host, I didn't want to eat nothing... so I partook in the meal, which was delicious!

Morning was comprised of a smoothie that had 1 grapefruit, 2 bananas and a handful of strawberries. I also ate like a small square of 70% dark chocolate.

The non-paleo dinner was the following:

Squab (aka pigeon)... so greasy and finger-licking good! I couldn't help myself and took a bite before taking a picture.

Winter melon soup (ingredients: crab meat, mushrooms, chicken, bits of bbq pork, etc... all steamed in a giant winter-melon for the entire day)

Here's a close up of the winter melon soup... the bits of melon can be scraped out to eat... so delicious!

Sauteed pea-tips with garlic

Egg plant hot pot (spicy)

Mmmm, crab - steamed with minced garlic, wine and butter?

Sweet and sour filet mignon cooked chinese style with onion

Here's a classic Jane favourite... steamed pork with salted fish (high in sodium but delicious with white rice!)

Sauteed fish with veggies

More braised fish with bak-choy

Lastly for dessert was red bean soup with red rice and coconut cookies x 3

So 2 hours after getting home I open the fridge to eat another HUGE coleslaw salad with chicken... there may or may not have been bits of old pizza on it hehehe.

Oh, and also a peach and small square of chocolate. Did I say that paleo was out the window AGAIN for today? hahaha. I am so losing this challenge.

September 5th, DAY 5

Alight, today was such a write off... I was going to see someone off before a long plane ride back to France and of course, had to treat her out to some chinese dim sum! Paleo was therefore out the window.

Knowing me, deep-fried garlic salt silverfish was a must!

Followed by seafood congee, chinese donut rice roll, gailan with garlic

Spicy pork beans

Curry baby octopus! Mmmm

Shrimp and taro spring rolls

Dessert were these golden yolk buns... super sweet and caloric!

The day went on and I was super guilty... Dinner was back to paleo. It was comprised of pan fried sockeye salmon and TONS of steamed fennel (with lemon juice and olive oil and pepper!). Dessert was a banana and peach.
